When it comes to choosing our furnishings, sustainability is playing an increasingly important role. So why not do without it when it comes to our pets? With the MiaCara Mare dog bed, we, together with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE Contribute to cleaning our oceans and transform plastic waste into a feel-good product for our four-legged friends. The SEAQUAL INITIATIVE is a unique community that collaborates with ocean cleanup programs around the world to add value to recovered plastic waste.

The inner qualities also guarantee maximum comfort and sustainability. For maximum sleeping comfort, the mattress is filled with viscoelastic recycled foam that adapts perfectly to the dog's body shape. Orthopedic viscose foam is permanently elastic and provides the best possible support for the spine and relieves pressure on the joints. Sturdy foam sides support the head and ensure that the bed retains its shape even with regular use.

The color names of the dog bed were also deliberately chosen: In natural tones of rock, sand and seaweed, the Mare dog bed blends harmoniously into any interior design style and at the same time reminds us of the origin of the material.

Care instructions

Filling

The pillow filling is made of soft, open-cell foam. To maintain the excellent properties of this material over time, proper care and cleaning is required. The best cleaning method for the pillow is washing with a standard mild detergent at temperatures up to 60°C.

The use of chlorine-based or chemically aggressive detergents is not recommended. A brownish discoloration of the foam cannot be avoided, but it does not affect the quality of the foam.

After washing, remove as much water as possible through the spin cycle. Then, let the drained pillow air dry on a rack. The pillow can also be tumble dried at up to 60°C, but be careful not to overdry it.

To ensure the pillow retains its shape over time, it needs to be fluffed regularly. Shake the pillow vigorously, knead it on all sides, and then pat it flat again.


Mattress

30° C gentle wash cycle

Wet wash with commercially available mild or wool detergent at temperatures up to 30°C. Avoid using highly bleaching or chemically aggressive detergents, as residues of these additives can damage the viscoelastic foam during subsequent drying.

After washing and rinsing, remove as much water as possible by spinning. It's best to let the drained mattress air dry on a rack. However, it can also be tumble dried at up to 60°C.


Cover

The cover is machine washable at 60°C. Alternatively, the cover can be dry cleaned. After washing, let the cover air dry and, if necessary, iron it inside out on a low heat setting.

The fabric is robust and durable. However, please note that intensive use may cause the surface to become roughened and pilling (little balls of fluff) to form. This cannot be completely prevented and does not constitute grounds for complaint.

For easy cleaning in between, simply vacuum the fabric with the upholstery brush of your vacuum cleaner.
