When it comes to choosing our furnishings, sustainability is playing an increasingly important role. So why not do without it when it comes to our pets? With the MiaCara Mare dog cushion, we, together with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE contribute to cleaning our oceans and transform plastic waste into a feel-good product for our four-legged friends.

The fabric of the Mare dog cushion is made from certified SEAQUAL® YARN. This special polyester fiber is made entirely from recycled plastic waste from our oceans, beaches, and landfills. The result is a contemporary fabric that's soft yet extremely durable and environmentally friendly.

The inner qualities of the dog cushion also guarantee maximum comfort and sustainability. The filling is made of a special recycled foam with high resilience, which retains its elasticity even under constant use. A pre-shaped hollow in the center provides your dog with comfortable support, relieving pressure on the spine, and the slightly raised edge provides optimal support for the head.

The color names of the dog cushion were also deliberately chosen: In natural tones of rock, sand and seaweed, the Mare dog cushion blends harmoniously into any interior design style and at the same time reminds us of the origin of the fabric.

Care instructions

Inlett

The cushion filling is made of a soft, open-cell foam. To maintain the excellent properties of this material over time, proper care and cleaning is required.

The best way to clean the pillow is to wash it with a standard mild detergent at temperatures up to 60°C. We advise against using detergents containing strong chlorine or chemically aggressive detergents. A brownish discoloration of the foam cannot be avoided, but it does not affect its quality.

After washing, remove as much water as possible through the spin cycle. Then, let the drained pillow air dry on a rack. The pillow can also be tumble dried at up to 60°C, but be careful not to overdry it.

To ensure the pillow retains its shape over time, it needs to be fluffed regularly. Shake the pillow vigorously, knead it on all sides, and then pat it flat again.

Cover

The cover is machine washable at 60°C. Alternatively, the cover can be dry cleaned. After washing, let the cover air dry and iron it inside out on a low heat if necessary.

The fabric is robust and durable. However, please note that intensive use may cause the surface to become roughened and pilling (little balls of fluff) to form. This cannot be completely prevented and does not constitute grounds for complaint.

For easy cleaning in between, simply vacuum the fabric with the upholstery brush of your vacuum cleaner.
